‘Reiki’
(pronounced ‘ray-key’) means ‘Universal life force’.
Working to create a balance of the physical body, the
mind, the emotions and the spirit...
Reiki is a form of hands-on healing which originated in
Japan at the beginning of the 20th
century.
During the treatment the client remains fully dressed and is covered
with
a blanket. The practitioner's hands are placed in a traditional sequence of positions from the top of
the head down to the toes. Reiki energy is drawn through the
practitioner, by the need or imbalance in the recipient.
Reiki works on the causal level of dis-ease rather than on physical
systems. It is deeply relaxing and very soothing, the benefits
may include:
-
Encouraging the body's innate ability to heal itself
-
Easing pain and discomfort
-
Release of stress
-
Boosting of the immune system
-
Increasing and maintaining
physical, emotional and mental strength
-
Releasing past traumas
For maximum benefit clients should initially commit to three treatments as close
together as possible, to allow time for the energy to act on the root of
the problem and to work deeply within the body.
A treatment lasts approximately
60 minutes.
